Have you seen Regina's Homelessness Data Dashboard?

As the Community Entity, Namerind is committed to sharing monthly information on the number of those experiencing homelessness throughout 2026. Reducing and eliminating homelessness in Regina will require collaboration across our whole community, and our organization is dedicated to public awareness of numbers rising in our most vulnerable populations - This includes children and youth, which make up a collective 37% of those experiencing homelessness in Regina in April.

Thank you Kim Kakakaway and Tanya Weigum McCagherty for representing Upstream Canada and the launch of its youth homelessness prevention model here in Regina. Namerind’s very own Nora Crowe is excited to connect with all of you in our community to work together towards positive change and new opportunities for our youth.

Upstream Canada is a program that prevents youth homelessness through early intervention. Its Australian predecessor reduced youth homelessness by 40% within the first 5 years of its implementation. The program has been successful across Canada, with communities in Alberta, Vancouver and Newfoundland reporting significant outcomes.

This week, Namerind and A Way Home Canada represented Upstream with information sessions on how to get started and access to all necessary resources. Thank you to all of our stakeholders that attended: our subprojects, April ChiefCalf, Nicole Sarauer, K.C., The Regina intersectional Partnership, Mother Theresa Middle School, the Ministry of Corrections and the Ministry of Community Safety.

For anyone who was not able to attend, please contact us for further information.

🥶❄️ Feeling cold like us? Remember that space heaters left unattended are a fire safety risk - and officials say that frigid temperatures and extreme wind chill can pose a challenge to both residents and crews alike.
Be sure to check your smoke alarms and be careful in our coldest temperatures 🔥⚠️

As part of a national effort to collect standardized data about people experiencing homelessness across Canada, Namerind Housing Corporation is releasing last year’s 2025 Point-in-Time Count numbers in Regina.

While the number of people experiencing homelessness was 767 people according to our count in October, real-time data from Coordinated Access Regina breaks down the demographics.

Namerind staff aren't scared of a little snow today! 🌨️

Every year, Namerind delivers Christmas hampers to our tenants and their families for the holidays. This includes Namerind projects for women with children and youth aging out of care.

Our relationships with our tenants are the most important to us, as these are the people that we serve, and the reason we continue to work as hard as we do as Indigenous leaders in affordable housing 🏠
Thank you to all of you that have trusted in us to provide safe, affordable quality homes!
