Early Childhood Intervention Program, Regina Region ECIP is a non-profit organization that provides a home visiting program for families of children 0-6 that have developmental delays.

We work in the spirit of truth and reconciliation, acknowledging that our office is located on Treaty 4 Territory. Children who are involved with ECIP are often delayed in reaching age-appropriate, developmental milestones, such as walking, talking, eating, manoeuvring, playing, or interacting socially. ECIP helps children who experience developmental delay to reach their best potential. ECIP Consultants build relationships with families and assist them in working towards mutually- identified goals for their children and families.
- ECIP Consultants provide an important link between families and other professionals.
- ECIP Consultants work collaboratively with child care providers, speech and language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, early childhood psychologists, teachers, and school administrators, among others, to support achievement of family-centered goals.
- ECIP Consultants also support smooth transitions into school and other centre-based programs and services as needed.

Our consultants work with families who attend schools under Prairie Valley School Division, Catholic Schools, Horizon School Division & Regina Public Schools. We also find ourselves working with home schooled children & children attending schools on the 18 First Nations we serve.

🧡 Honouring Truth & Reconciliation through ECIP Building Inclusive Practices Program🧡

One of the most meaningful parts of our work is partnering with educators to create environments where every child feels seen, valued, and a true sense of belonging.

In preparation for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day), Inclusion Coach Courtney and an educator, worked with their children to make playdough together and create an experiential learning centre.

While the history behind Orange Shirt Day carries profound significance, young children learn best through relationships, experiences, and play. By providing opportunities to listen to stories, celebrate individual identities, and foster a sense of belonging, we are laying groundwork for empathy, understanding, and reconciliation.

Inclusive practice is more than ensuring children can participate. It is creating spaces where differences are honoured, voices are valued, and every child knows they matter. These principles are at the heart of reconciliation.

We honour the children, families, and Survivors impacted by residential schools, while committing to raising a generation of learners who understand the importance of kindness, respect, inclusion, and belonging.
