Regina Police Association

Regina Police Association Regina Police Association represents approximately 650 uniform & civilian members of the Regina Police Police Service.

On February 24, 1944 a vote was taken and it was unanimously agreed that the Regina Police officers organize themselves into a local police union. This was the beginning of the Regina City Policemen's Association #155, under the National Union of Public Employees. Records indicate there were a total of 36 members. In 1976, civilian members of the Regina Police Service joined the Association, and o

n April 15th, 1992 the Association was incorporated and changed its name to the Regina Police Association Inc. Today the Regina Police Association represents approximately 565 full-time and part-time uniform and civilian members of the Regina Police Association. Our members are hard working professionals dedicated to keeping the City of Regina a safe place to live, work and visit.

Within the Regina Police Service, our Administrative Professionals work day in, and day out, supporting countless different aspects of frontline police work. Whether they work in our Police Information and Evidence management, Community Services, Investigative Services, Support Services, Criminal Records, Corporate Services, or Headquarters, our Administrative Professionals work diligently every day to ensure our frontline and investigative resources stay safe and informed.

Today, our friends from Hydrants and Hearts Regina Professional Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 181 presented a cheque to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency for $30,000 - the total profit made from the second annual Battle of the Badges hockey game. It was such a pleasure and honour working with along side fellow emergency responders to raise money such a worthy cause. A special thank you to all the volunteers that made this year’s game such a success. Another big thank you to Extreme Hockey and Sport and all the other amazing sponsors that made the event such a success. We can’t wait to defend the title in next year’s match up. It was a big weekend for the Regina Police Service Bulls hockey team in their win over the Regina Professional Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 181. A big thank you to Extreme Hockey and Sport, Armour Safety, and Dairy Queen for your support of this year's Hydrants and Hearts charity - the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. The second annual event was a wonderful experience and raised money for a very worthy cause. Also, a big thank you to all the Regina Fire and Protective Services and RPS personnel for their volunteer work at the game.

Today, RPA President Colin Glas met with Regina Professional Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 181 President Tyler Packham to ensure he lived up to the new tradition. See you all next year!

Chief Davies has been a wonderful example of leadership within the organization, and spent many years on the RPA board before joining the Executive team at the RPS.
