Spot the red flags of individuals or firms that are not registered to sell securities.

Seniors should be cautious if they are approached with an investment opportunity that involves:
🚩Promises of high returns with little or no risk;
🚩Pressure to act quickly or invest immediately;
🚩Requests to keep the opportunity confidential;
🚩Unsolicited calls, emails, or messages offering investments;
🚩Someone who attempts to build trust quickly, asks for secrecy, or discourages speaking to family members, caregivers, or trusted advisers.

These scams can cost seniors their savings and peace of mind.

June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Seniors may be targeted by investment offers from individuals or firms that are not registered to sell securities. In most cases, the offer is fraudulent.

These offers can look legitimate, but they can cause financial harm.
