Calling all small business owners! Join us for Bridges to Business Empowerment, a networking event series celebrating small business month in October.

Session 1: Hacking the Human: How Cybercriminals Trick Small Businesses presented by Travis Lothar Czech of Solis Indago

Cybersecurity is often a people problem. This practical 60-minute session will show small business owners, staff, and municipal partners how cybercriminals use social engineering tactics like phishing, fake invoices, impersonation, and urgent requests to target organizations. We'll cover real-world examples relevant to our area, how to spot the red flags, low-cost protections, and simple response steps.

Session 2: Community Marketing & Brand Building presented by Mathew O'Leary of Remind Media

Most businesses don't have a marketing problem—they have a visibility problem. In this practical and actionable session, Matt O'Leary will share the foundational strategies that help businesses attract more customers and build trust within their communities.

What a fabulous Trivia Night we all had at the Horton Community Centre last weekend! You and your friends raised over $1700 towards our hall and recreation!

Shout out to Megan VanWoezik for donating back her 50/50 winnings and starting a GOO KARMA trend that had all teams donate a portion, or all of their winnings BACK!! 🤩 (we were extremely humbled to say the least 🙏)

We can’t forgot the one and only Jason Marshall our excellent trivia master for volunteering his time and creative effort to bring our A+ trivia night to life!!

See you in the new year for more trivia, more snacks, and more singing! 🎶
