Those kids visited the library 376 times!
All of those kids read 596 books!

Each time a child came into the library they got to put their name on a sea creature and hang it on our ocean. So, you can see our ocean is teeming with sea creatures. Great work, kids!

This week at the library:

Week 5 of the TD Summer Reading Club program.

Dario Alba from Souris River Conservation was in to speak to the Day Camp kids about Water Sheds on a power point. We then went outside for the hands on water shed model which the kids took part in.

The kids got to spread pretend manure, yellow oil and red fertilizer on the country side. Some other kids then got to spray rain on it all to see that the manure, oil and fertilizer flowed down into rivers and eventually a lake. The kids had a blast.

Thank you, Dario from the West Souris River Conservation for coming to the Reston & District Library during our summer reading club program during ponds, rivers and water week. Thank you as well for all the cool handouts of a bag, pen, pad, sticker, flashlight and water bottle. The kids were thrilled with their goodies.
