Last night, I visited the beautiful Butchart Gardens in Victoria, B.C., where over a million lights create pure holiday magic. Of course, a walk through the gardens isn't complete without a warm drink in hand.

The café was busy, so while the crowd was waiting for their drink order to be called, I noticed a few people turning over their receipts, reading the print which says: ‘This receipt helps plant a forest…underwater.’ It’s a small moment, but seeing someone pause, nod, or smile at those words in approval feels incredible.

Every EcoChit receipt is like a small message of hope, a way of saying we’re doing something positive for the planet together.

To the businesses that have supported us this year, thank you for making these moments possible. We’re excited to keep growing this impact with you into next year.

This time of year, I usually have a few on the go, and when I need a quick bookmark, an EcoChit receipt often comes in handy. It’s a small but meaningful way to reuse something that would otherwise end up in the recycling bin—one of those simple sustainable swaps that just makes sense.
