Congratulations to OCdt Ng for officially being attested into the Canadian Armed Forces as an officer with the Cadet Instructor Cadre!

OCdt Ng has been actively assisting our squadron through leading and preparing training plans for the past two years. She is currently assisting with Adminstration and Supply this year. Her knowledge on general cadet knowledge and squadron procedures as well as professionalism is a great asset for our cadets: enabling our squadron to meet the standards and maintain effectiveness. Bravo Zulu! 👏🏻

Congratulations to WO1 Megan Zhang for aging out of the program as our Cadet Squadron Commander! Throughout the years, she has dedicated much of her time in drill. She was selected for Drill Ceremonial Instructor at Vernon CTC in 2023 and tried out for the competitive Quarter Guard during her time there. She was also our Squadron Drill Team Commander in 2024!

She has also supported many of our FTXs: working as a syndicate IC, Cadet Correspondent, and guiding our junior and senior NCOs through the weekend. She has built many friendships through her time in our squadron and fellow course cadets. For her final summer, she is currently working as a Staff Cadet for TDLC and assisting with online cadet course, which is a completely different portion of summer training that very few people have had the chance to experience!

Thank you for spending all these years with our squadron and providing guidance for our cadets and sharing your joy for drill with them. We wish you the best of luck in your studies and career!

TWIN AGEOUT! Congratulations to WO2 Malcolm Chan and WO2 Mitchell Chan for aging out of the program together! These two have gone through immense growth over the past 7 years and it really shows through these photos we've captured!

They've actively participated in all kinds of activities such as snowshoeing, poppy tagging, skating, even Halloween-themed training! They've helped out as NCO IC for our Mess Dinner and FTX, respectively. They been part of the Squadron Volleyball team for years and go to marksmanship nights whenever they get a chance: WO2 Mitchell Chan even achieved a Expert Marksman Qualification on his last night. WO2 Malcoln Chan went to summer camp for Fitness and Sports Instructor, and both of them were Staff Cadets in 2023 for Vernon and Quadra!

Thank you for being a part of out squadron and bringing great energy and professionalism in your roles. It was fantastic to see both of you become Flight Commanders and end up as our Cadet Deputy Commander and Squadron Warrant Officer.

With your knowledge and experience, we are sure you will both take it very far and we wish you the best of luck in the future!

At the end of May, we held our 67th Annual Ceremonial Review! This formal parade was dedicated to showcasing the efforts of our cadets to parents, friends, officers, and special guests of various organizations! We showed our Drill Team routine, Band Performance, Effective Speaking speech, and the overall discipline with our drill, uniforms, display boards, and March Past.

Thank you to CBSA Chief Jackie Tse for being our Reviewing Officer alongside our Reviewing Party: RCMP Superintendent Kevin Beson, Fire Chief Jim Wishlove, Area Elemental Advisor Major Greg Dowler, and BCPC Representative Ms. Ida Lam.

This parade formally concludes training for the 2025-2026 Training Year for 692 RCACS. The squadron will be stood down for summer - cadets will either be continuing their training at local Cadet Training Centres or relaxing at home. We are proud of the accomplishments that our cadets have achieved this year and we look forward to seeing a stronger presence next year! Have a good summer!

MAY FTX! While some of our cadets led the Ultimate Tournament, the rest of us were in the field for our Spring FTX. The theme of the FTX? PITCH PERFECT and every syndicate was named after each of the iconic groups. We were blessed with amazing weather, interesting hands-on lessons, decent shelters, and we had MREs brought back!

After years of catered food, our cadets were able to experience the thrill of military rations - good food in a compressed package is a staple to the wilderness experience. We brought back Iron Chef, had quite a few ambitious attitude checks, and our cadets had a whole lot of fun.

Bravo Zulu to everyone who came out for a great time! We hope to see more of you out here helping out and making memories. Can't find it anywhere else!

692 ULTIMATE ADA! Last month, our squadron held the 3rd Annual Ultimate ADA: hosting over 10 units from across the Lower Mainland!
There was a great amount of teambuilding, esprit de corps, and physical fitness that was seen throughout the day!

Congratulations to 777 Neptune RCACS for winning the competition and well done to everyone who received awards!

Shoutouts to all the support staff cadets, participants, and officers for facilitating this activity and providing amazing energy! Keep it up and see you all next year!

Near the end of April, our squadron band participated in the Lower Mainland Band Competition! Our band played well and performed a great display of drill routines while playing on their instruments, which is no easy feat.

Our Drum Major, FSgt Aaron Mai, was awarded 3rd Place for Top Drum Major while our band placed 4th in the C Division! It’s been a while since we have been able to perform on the big stage, so this is just the beginning! Hopefully, this experience has ignited a fire in our cadets to perform even better next year! Bravo Zulu!
