The Richmond Teachers’ Association is a union of professionals whose mandate is to represent & advance the social & professional goals of teachers in SD #38

The Richmond Teachers’ Association undertakes many initiatives and activities in which teachers are actively working with the District. Examples include the Mentoring Program for Beginning Teachers; jointly sponsored employer professional development initiatives; and joint standing District committees. There are many ways for teachers to participate in such collaborative endeavors through the Association and we encourage all members to do so.

Today is a day dedicated to celebrate women around the world and to honour and acknowledge the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements women have accomplished in the past and present. It is also a day to raise awareness about gender equality and advocate for women’s rights.

November 8 is the day for all Canadians to acknowledge the Indigenous men and women who have served and continue to serve to this day.
The National Aboriginal Veterans Monument in Confederation Park, Ottawa, honours the contributions of all Indigenous people in war and peace support operations from the First World War to today.
