What do community health aids do?
Community health aides support nurses and programs by helping with clinics, school programs, TB work , scheduling home support workers, and ordering supplies.

Where they work?
They work in clinics, schools, and throughout the community, often visiting clients and delivering supplies.

Why are they important?
Their local and cultural knowledge helps connect services to the community. Their role is unique to the Nunatsiavut Government Department of Health and Social Development, and essential to service delivery.

Home support workers help people at home with bathing, dressing, meals, and light housework so they can live safely in their own house.

Where they work
They work in clients’ homes, supporting Elders and those who are ill or recovering.

Why are they important?
They help people stay independent, safe, and connected by providing care, kindness, and companionship.
