WELCOME TO THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR, HIGH SCHOOL WILDCATS!
You're probably asking: WHEN and WHERE do I get my timetable?
School starts on Wednesday, September 2nd at 8:00 a.m. Homeroom teachers (for your period 1 class) will be reaching out to you via school email to let you know which classroom you'll be starting in (but not until September 1st 🙂). They will have a hard copy of your timetable to give you in that first period on Wednesday. If you don't have a homeroom teacher (because you've got a spare or an eLearning course in period 1), you will need to stop by the main office to pick up your schedule.
If for some reason you don't get your first period information by Wednesday morning, not to worry! Mr. Bartsch, Mrs. Hollingsworth and Ms. Kryviak will be in the foyer before school starts to help students get to their homerooms. Additionally, we will have lists posted on the learning commons windows, where students will be able to quickly find their name and their homeroom number.
For our International students, please meet in the main office.
And WHAT DO I DO if I want to change a class?
Here is a reminder of some guidelines to keep in mind before requesting a change:
Changes are NOT made:
To change a teacher
To be in classes with friends
Changes CAN be made:
To accommodate changes to post-secondary plans and prerequisites
To change streams (i.e., Academic to Applied, University to College or vice-versa)
The guidance team has done their best to give all students the courses they requested; If, however, once you receive your schedule you would like to discuss a possible course change, you will need to first look over the list of Semester 1 classes to see if there is a suitable replacement option in the specific period (posted in guidance). Students are to see Ms. Kryviak during lunch time to make a course change request. This is a first come, first served process.
Note: We will NOT be doing course changes before the first day of school. We are still finalizing all schedules and no one has been given a finalized schedule as of yet.
Thank you all for your patience, and we wish you the very best for a successful year! We're really looking forward to working with you.
- The RDHS team!
