Reminder: You have until August 20 to drop your donated items off at one of our library branches!

The Best First Day school supplies drive is back this year! Every year we help the Thames Valley District School Board collect donations of school supplies so that every kid can have the Best First Day this upcoming school year.

This year they are hoping to get donations of backpacks, lunch bags, reusable water bottles, notebooks, pencil cases, pencils and pens, pencil crayon packages, thin binders, lined paper packs, highlighters, and locker locks. You can drop off any of these items at any of our Elgin County Library branches between now and August 20!

If you have a large volume of donations (local businesses, we're looking at you), please please contact the Elgin County Library branch ahead so that we can make sure we have space or arrange a pick-up if we don't!

Let's support our community by setting our students up for the Best First Day!
