Lots of amazing youth from Rossland attending international ski competitions this week! Congrats to Zach Zwicker on making it to the Whistler Cup for the second year in a row, and Jaime Ansede and Ira Laurie-Pouliot who are also competing at the Whistler Cup. Amelia Weaver, Rudy Steves and Cayce Milan just competed in the NorAms for freeski! Rudy and Cayce both placed top 10 in their age categories 🤩

Huge congratulations to Zach for qualifying for the 2026 o2e Brands Whistler Cup. This is an important international juvenile alpine ski event, and it's taking place on April 8-12.

Next time I sign up to swim 5km in a month... I'm going to make sure that I confirm the pool closest to me is OPEN that month!! Thankfully the Castlegar & District Recreation Complex was open this morning and I got the first 1.25km completed. Think I'll be feeling my shoulders tomorrow... Thanks Columbia Notary, Mike Cupello, Jasmine Lysenko, Krishan Lysenko, Hollywood North Wealth, Geoffrey Greenall, and Garrett Mayne for sponsoring me and making me get back in the pool!
