Our page offers library patrons updates, photos and announcements of upcoming events.

In addition to our regular hours Rosthern Library offers Story Time every Thursday morning from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Story Time is open to toddlers and preschoolers and their parents.

Rosthern Library has park passes that can be used at any Regional Park in Saskatchewan. Come on in and sign out a card for your next trip.

Enjoy a Saskatchewan Regional Park this summer! Use your library card to sign out a seven-day pass to any Regional park in our province starting May 15. We have several available at Rosthern Library.

We have a new art display at Rosthern Library.
Come and check out Mary Loewen’s fanciful paintings of her grandchildren. Each painting clearly shows the interests and personalities of the child. Mary’s artwork will be displayed until the end of June.

Rosthern Library is hosting an Artist Talk with Duncan Myers on Wednesday, April 29 at 7pm. Duncan is a local photographer and birder whose photographs have been on display at the library the past months. See you there!

Take a spring walk downtown in Rosthern and read a story on the way. Your family will enjoy the book Plants Can’t Sit Still by Rebecca E. Hirsch displayed in panels in store windows. Begin reading at the library doors and follow the directions to continue the story.end up back at the library for an activity sheet and a prize.
This Story Walk continues to Monday, April 13.

Come to the Rosthern Library tomorrow, February 19, to watch an artist at work.
Eric Willie, a local artist, will be working on a painting at the library from 2:00-4:00 Thursday afternoon.
Some of his paintings have been displayed on our library walls during the past weeks.

An artist talk by Boni Brucks will take place at our library on Wednesday, November 26 at 7pm. Our patrons have certainly enjoyed and commented on her paintings which have been featured on our walls for the past months. Come on out and hear about her artistic process and inspiration.

We have a brand new story trail set up in the downtown area. Oi Cat will be on display in the store windows until Friday August 22. Start at the library doors and follow the directions. When you’re finished, come into the library for an activity sheet and a prize.
