Please note that the 602 Gorge Road East location is permanently closed. 1Up is now located in the Royal Oak Plaza at 4460 West Saanich Road.

The Victoria Single Parent Resource Centre is a registered non-profit society committed to providing practical material supports, mental health and wellbeing support, educational opportunities, and a sense of hope for one-parent families. Active members can contact [email protected] to access our clothing room appointment or access other services. Members can receive up to ten free individual counselli

ng sessions. Our other free services for members include a Clothing room, Wednesday food market day, Healthy Food Bag program for families with school aged kids, an annual school supplies drive, birthday gift program, and Christmas hamper program. The Centre offers a selection of life skills programs and workshops, parenting skill and development courses and parenting support groups that are scheduled from September to June. 1Up courses are free and open to everyone in the community. 💜 Thankful Thursday 💜

This week, we’re giving a very special thank you to Level Ground Coffee Roasters for sponsoring our *NEW* Parent Member Coffee Bar at 1Up. ☕

For a busy single parent, something as simple as a warm cup of coffee can help change the tone of the morning, a small chance to pause, recharge, and feel a little more cared for.

We’re so grateful to Level Ground for helping us create another welcoming touch for the parents who walk through our doors. Community support like this helps make 1Up feel warm, connected, and supportive in all the little ways that matter.

🎉 Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.

Our Birthday Program helps make birthdays a little brighter for children in registered 1Up families.

Parents can request a birthday gift for their child, and we'll do our best to match their interests by offering a choice between two age-appropriate gift options. Whether it's a game, puzzle, art supplies, toy, or something that sparks their interests, our goal is to help make their special day even more memorable.

🎈 Have a teen? We often receive gift cards suitable for older youth. Availability varies, so if you have a teen with an upcoming birthday, please reach out to see what we currently have in stock.

📅 To help us prepare, please contact us 2–3 weeks before your child's birthday. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide birthday gifts after a birthday has already passed.

Esquimalt Rec's popular FREE summer movie series is back again!
Bring a camping chair and/or a blanket and enjoy an outdoor movie experience with the whole family! and dont forget to pack some popcorn!

Movies will run, on Bullen Field, Fridays through the month of August.

🌞 Happy Friday!! 🌞

Our office is now CLOSED for the BC Day long weekend and will reopen on Tuesday.
