Our talented music group had a wonderful outing to the Lansdowne campus of Camosun College, where they performed for students in the Psychology of Music course earlier this week! 🎶

This performance featured our Ukulele Band, who played three upbeat ukulele songs, along with a special handbell piece. It was a great opportunity to share the joy of music and connect with such an engaged and appreciative group of students.

A special thank you to Becky, our Recreation and Music Therapist, for coordinating the group and organizing this opportunity with Camosun College—we truly appreciate all the work that went into making this experience possible.

We’re so proud of our musicians for representing our community so beautifully!

Through the Giving Trees initiative, members of our community purchased thoughtful presents for seniors in our community, helping to make the season a little brighter. ✨ Celebrating Landlord Appreciation Day! ✨
On November 3rd, we were reminded just how special our community truly is. One of our wonderful residents surprised us with a heartfelt card—filled with signatures and kind words—honoring our Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director. 💛

Their thoughtful gesture was a beautiful way to show just how much our leadership’s support means and how grateful our residents are to call this community home.

We’re so thankful for a place where appreciation flows both ways. Here’s to great leadership, amazing residents, and a community we’re proud to be part of! 🏡💫

Yesterday felt like stepping straight into a fairytale! 🫖🌷 We were absolutely spoiled at a gorgeous tea party hosted by Andrea and Jeff at their beautiful home. With flowers, linen, lace, fancy china, and the most delicious baking you could imagine, it was truly a day to remember.

🌟 1970s Ukulele Happy Hour! 🌟
Last Thursday, we took a trip back to the groovy 1970s during our weekly Happy Hour – and what a blast it was! 🎶✨
Our talented resident musicians had us strumming and singing along to classics like “Cheeseburger in Paradise”. There was dancing, laughter, and plenty of good vibes to go around.
A huge thank you to our amazing ukulele band – you truly rocked the house and made it a night to remember! 🎸💃🕺

☀️ What a Summer It’s Been at Legion Manor!

We’ve been so busy soaking up the sunshine and enjoying every moment, we haven’t even had time to share it all — until now! 🌸

This summer has been extra special with the addition of our beautiful new pavilion, and it’s quickly become the heart of our community. Since it was built, we’ve had:

🎶 Live concerts under the open air
🍦 Ice cream socials in the shade
🎯 Ring toss games and plenty of laughter
🎤 Sing-alongs that brought back old memories
💬 And endless moments of connection, conversation, and joy

Whether relaxing with friends or gathering for events, our residents are truly loving it.

A heartfelt thank you to our generous donors — you’ve made something wonderful possible, and it’s bringing joy to our entire community every single day. 💖
