From horse-drawn parade floats to flag-filled celebrations, these photographs from the Brock University Library Archives & Special Collections capture moments of Canada Day in the Niagara Region across generations.

The first image, taken in front of the Arthur Schmon Tower in 1997. The photo was part of St. Catharines' bid for the Canada Games. The second image is from 1915, features a horse-drawn wagon sponsored by the farm equipment company Massey Harris during a local Dominion Day parade. The third photograph is from 1998, showing Cadet flag bearers taking part in Canada Day festivities these images offer a glimpse into how communities have marked the occasion over the years.

However you choose to spend the day whether you're celebrating, reflecting, learning, or enjoying time with family and friends the Brock University Library wishes you a safe and meaningful Canada Day.
