Start Me Up Niagara Our goal is to provide opportunities for these individuals to help them increase their level of self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life.

Start Me Up Niagara offers services and programs to individuals who face significant life challenges to provide them with opportunities to stabilize, participate and grow. At Start Me Up Niagara, we offer services to support people facing significant challenges such as poverty, homelessness, unemployment, disabilities, addictions, and mental health issues. Our services range from community lunches

, health care, and arts and gardening programs, to housing supports and employment development. Together, we are working to build a community where all are included.

Thank you to and Delta Bingo Sponsors Association of St. Catharines for helping us purchase and install a Brave Sensor in our Resource Drop-In Centre.

This small piece of technology helps us respond quickly if someone may be in distress in our washroom. The sensor does not use cameras or microphones. Instead, it detects movement, stillness, and extended occupancy, then alerts staff so we can check in and offer support when it may be needed.

For us, participant safety is part of dignity. It means creating a space where people can access basic needs, connection, and care with privacy, respect, and compassion.

We are grateful to Charitable Gaming for helping us strengthen safety in a practical, thoughtful way.

Because when community shows up, people are better supported.
