Join us for steps, seeds, and socials!

All are welcome on our Twelve Mile Creek Trail walk. We’ll depart from the parkette at the southeast corner of St. Paul Street and Ontario Street. We’ll take the Twelve trail to Glendale, cross the creek, then head back to our starting location on the Participark Trail.

Afterward, we’ll meet up nearby for drinks and seed gathering from an urban pollinator garden.

If you can’t join us for the walk, send us a dm for the location of the social.

It was a packed room in St. Catharines last night for the Niagara Roundtable 🗣️

Whether senior or student, union or non-union, NDP voter or undecided, the message was resoundingly clear: the 1% dominate us with a rigged economy and political system that’s keeping us poor, unhappy, and divided - it’s time for the 99% to fight back with a message of hope and optimism.

The Niagara NDP riding associations are ready to stand with our neighbours in the movement for fairness and a better life. Not just at election time. Not just federally or provincially. Every day of the year, and at every level of politics.

Will you stand with us? Send us a dm or use our bio link to join the riding association.

The fight for rent control is on - we need a new deal for tenants 🤝

Bill 60 is a sucker punch to 1.7 million households in Ontario. With security of tenure revoked, no lease is safe from being terminated at the landlord’s discretion. Many will be priced out of their homes, further fuelling the ongoing homelessness and housing crises felt deeply across the province.

In a housing crisis, the last thing we need is a war on tenants. Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP have been clear: we need universal rent control, vacancy control, and a permanent solution to the LTB backlog with investment in the Rental Housing Enforcement Unit (RHEU).

The St. Catharines NDP’s Tenant Committee is working to equip tenants with the tools they need to stand up for themselves against bad actor landlords. If you’re ready to fight back against Doug Ford and Bill 60, join us!

The building blocks of progress are already here. Let’s put them together. 💪

There’s no denying that the NDP’s historic wins on healthcare, worker’s rights, and the environment have improved quality of life for all Canadians. Lately though, many question whether the party remains a viable political option.

Because let’s face it: as much as Canada needs change, so does the NDP.

After a devastating 2025 election, there’s a palpable feeling that the party has lost the plot, while the Liberal-Conservative coalition has Canada barreling down a road to decline.

Meanwhile, the wealthy 1% post record profits and wield power and influence in the cash-for-access wild west that Canadian politics have become.

It’s never been more important to have a viable alternative for a fair and democratic Canada. In this critical moment, we need more than just a political party - we need real people across the country to speak truth to power.

At town halls, on picket lines, in forests and fields, in the workplace and at home, it will be everyday people, using the NDP’s existing cross-country structure, who will win real progress for Canada.

It’s you, it’s all of us, that the NDP must throw its weight behind. Not the party brass, not elites high up in Bay Street towers, in Ottawa, and at Queen’s Park. The NDP began as a grassroots party. We need to take it back and fight oligarchy from the ground up.

That’s why we’re hosting a roundtable discussion. A movement is growing to reclaim the party and choose a new leader who can win. The time is now to leave online pessimism behind, unite progressives on the ground, and drive the conversation with bold ideas that will change Canada for the better.

Are you in? ✊

We’re fired up after an amazing Ontario NDP Convention 2025 🔥🍊

Progressives from across the province and country converged on Niagara Falls this past weekend to reaffirm our commitment to a better Ontario for everyone.

On both provincial and federal fronts, the NDP is mobilizing to meet the moment we find ourselves in.

We’ve got a Liberal-Conservative coalition in Ottawa that refuses to take meaningful action on the affordability crisis.

And in Ontario, the Ford government is hell-bent on maintaining his corrupt regime, pouring out whiskey bottles while unemployment skyrockets and public healthcare suffers.

Our leader in Ontario, said it best: we don’t need stunts. We need change. And the NDP is working hard to be that change everyday folks need in Ontario and Canada.

That work is happening in communities across the country, and especially here in St. Catharines! Our team is working on something to unite progressives and fight back against the political nihilism and apathy so rampant today.

Stay tuned! 👀

The election may be over, but the work — and the community — continues.

A few of us from the last two campaigns are starting something new: Trails and Ales — a space for progressives in Niagara to stay connected, swap ideas, and build resistance — one hike, one backyard beverage, and one act at a time.

We’re kicking things off this Friday at 6 PM with a casual hike and hangout. We’ll walk the Merritt Trail, then head back for refreshments.

Message for the location or join the WhatsApp group to stay in the loop.

Everyone’s welcome.
