Take a moment to consider the ways in which you have been fortunate. Even if bad things have happened to you or you have been wronged, there are probably ways in which you have an advantage over someone else.

Is there one thing that you might be able to do today to make life more bearable or more equal for someone less fortunate than yourself in some ways? You don't have to know how to solve all of the issues in order to start somewhere.

Sometimes all we know how to do is feel the sadness of what we see. Inequality, injustice, pain, and suffering... Maybe feeling this (sadness, anger or whatever you naturally feel) and allowing yourself to process it is the first brave step in knowing what to do about it.

If you don't know what to do or if you hurt from seeing others hurt, you are not alone. Allowing yourself to feel is the first step away from dissociating and denying in order to cope with reality. From there we can take clear headed action and be wise-minded in our approach.

For those of you who warrior on in the name of love, may you do so with the inner peace of knowing that you can make a difference and that you don't have to do it all alone.
