GET READY Fundy-St.Martins, we about to have our moment showcasing our beautiful Sea Caves!

Tune into CTV on Tuesday, September 1, as The Amazing Race Canada heads to Fundy-St. Martins!

With the finish line in sight, teams race along the rugged Bay of Fundy coastline to meet host Jon Montgomery at the breathtaking St. Martins Sea Caves.

We can't wait to see our beautiful Village showcased for viewers across the country.

📢 Village Office Closure Notice

Please note that the Village of Fundy-St. Martins Office will be closed Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14 to allow staff to take a well-deserved vacation. The office will reopen on Monday, August 17, during regular business hours.

If you need to reach us during the closure, please leave a voicemail at (506) 833-2010, as messages will be checked periodically throughout the week. You can also email us at [email protected].

Wildfires can develop quickly, and taking a few simple steps now can make a big difference if an evacuation ever becomes necessary.

Please note that the road Main Street will be closed by 12:45 p.m, July 25th. The road will be closed from the beginning of Main Street all the way down to the harbor. This should last roughly 1 hour for the St. Martins Old Home Week parade. Please share

âť—Important Message from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI)âť—

"The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) is advising the public of the closure of the Hardscrabble covered bridge in St. Martins in the interest of public safety due to its deteriorated condition.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained. This decision follows a recent inspection and monitoring data from the bridge. A detour around the structure will be available through Yeomans Road and Big Salmon River Road. DTI has recently evaluated the condition of Yeomans Road and is planning to make additional improvements soon. This closure is included in NB511 ( https://511.gnb.ca ).

Planning for the replacement structure has recently been initiated by the Department. At this time, this project is currently not included on our long-term capital plan but as we move through planning, we will be able to better define timelines for construction. At this point construction is at a minimum a couple of years down the road and will depend on future DTI capital budgets.

The Department realizes the importance of this covered bridge to the community and understands the impacts of closing a structure to vehicles."
