Did You Know? 🦌

Fawning season typically takes place from May through June. During this time, mother deer often leave their fawns tucked safely away in tall grass, brush, or other sheltered areas while they forage nearby.

If you come across a healthy-looking fawn on its own, its mother is likely close by and will return when it's safe to do so.

The best thing you can do is admire from a distance and leave the fawn where it is.

Can you spot the fawn? 👀🦌

During fawning season, mothers often leave their fawns tucked safely away in tall grass or brush while they forage nearby.

If you happen to spot a healthy-looking fawn on its own, there's no need to intervene. Mom is likely close by and will return when it's safe.

Thank you for helping keep our local wildlife wild! 💚
