From preventative maintenance and building systems to responding to work requests and troubleshooting unexpected challenges, these skilled individuals work behind the scenes every day to keep STEGH running safely, efficiently and comfortably for patients, visitors and staff.

After a recent visit to STEGH, a grateful parent took the time to share their appreciation for the kindness, attentiveness, and reassurance they received during a stressful time. This , we're recognizing the team behind STEGH's Intensive Care Unit.

When patients are at their sickest and most vulnerable, our ICU team is there, providing expert care and reassurance during some of life's most difficult moments.

What makes our ICU special is not only the skill of the people who work there, but also the way they support one another and collaborate to deliver excellent patient care every day.

Their expertise reaches far beyond the walls of the ICU through our Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT), helping identify patients who may be at risk and ensuring they receive the specialized care and support they need, when they need it most.

At STEGH, protecting our patients, staff, and visitors is always a top priority. One of the simplest and most effective ways we prevent the spread of infection is by ensuring the right personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at the right time.

This Infection Control Week, we're grateful to our community partners, the St. Thomas Stars, for helping us reinforce this important message in a fun and engaging way. A special thank you to June Thompson (VP, Board of Directors), Khade Metatawabin, Cade Kinnear, Rory Savage, and Coach Joe Doyle for lending their time and support to help promote the importance of PPE.

We were pleased to welcome Andrew Lawton, Member of Parliament, to STEGH this morning for a tour of our Mental Health Program.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the important work taking place within our Mental Health Department and discuss the growing need for accessible, high-quality mental health services in our community.
