Power Outage Update from the Mayor:

The Mayor has been in contact with FortisBC and they have provided the following update.

The new ETA to have the power restored in Salmo is 8 pm Saturday May 30th. Fortis has brought in crews from Alberta to help them get the repairs done as quickly as possible but there is extensive damage caused by the storm.

Emergency Contact

If anyone requires assistance from police, ambulance or fire even if not an immediate emergency they are to call 911 as the Salmo direct line is down.

If you have family or friends with medical issues or limited mobility please check on them.
