Update for Families: Upcoming MCFD Letters

We want to give families a heads-up that the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) has begun sending out letters about upcoming changes to ASD and Disability funding in BC.

Over the coming days and weeks, families may receive a letter through:

✔️ The My Family Services (AFU) portal
✔️ Email
✔️ Mail

These letters may ask you to share or upload recent reports or assessments about your child to help inform future supports.

💛 We know this process may feel overwhelming or unclear. You are not alone.

Our team is here to walk alongside you. We can help you:

• Understand what the letter is asking
• Think through what documents you might already have
• Support you in getting organized or taking next steps

Every family’s situation is unique, and there is no need to rush or feel pressured. Please reach out to your worker or connect with us if you would like support.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more.

Looking for a flexible, supportive, and FUN summer experience for your youth? FLY Summer Day Camps are designed for youth with diverse needs including ADHD, FASD, anxiety, autism, and more - and no formal diagnosis is required.

📅 Running throughout July & August 2026
TWO age groups:

🎨 Indoor & outdoor activities
