NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:

The Town of Salmon Cove has been notified that Main Street East will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and will remain closed until project completion. Please use alternative routes via Hillside Crescent or Riverside Drive.

A reminder that the Salmonid Association of Eastern Newfoundland (SAEN) will be holding the TOWN HALL this evening at 7:00pm at the Community Centre in Salmon Cove.

UPDATE FROM JULY 22 RE. ALGAE BLOOM:

The Department of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change (ECC) collected samples on July 22 at 3 locations: Forest Pond at outlet, Salmon Cove Pond and Harry’s Pond.

Results indicated that while a bloom is present at Forest Pond, it is NOT at Salmon Cove Pond or Harry’s Pond.

Samples from all three locations were analyzed and no toxins were found at either location.

ECC will continue to monitor the situation on a regular basis. The Town of Salmon Cove will provide updates to residents as soon as new information is received.

UPDATE: The water is slowly being turned back on. Please remember to run your water until clear.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS - POSSIBLE WATER SHUT-OFF!

The Town of Victoria has informed us that water service may be shut off around 2:00 p.m. today to repair a water leak. This interruption is expected to be temporary. Residents may wish to draw some water now for use during the outage.

The Town Office will be closed on Monday, August 3, 2026, in observance of the Civic Holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday, August 4 at 9:00am. Have a wonderful long weekend!
