Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting our 23rd annual Vintage Snowmobile Race and pancake breakfast. We had 29 sleds for the main 100 mile race, 6 in the over 50 category, 2 in the youth, and 6 kitty cat racers. The winner of the main race was Darin Tangedal. Second place was Tyler Tangedal, and third place was Sam Wilson. The youth race winner was Kirk Littman. Thank you to all our sponsors and donors for helping make this race another successful fundraiser for our volunteer fire department.

Winner of the “over 50” race was Tory Tangedal, second was Richard Van Sprundel, and third was Terry Bush.

Mark your calendars!! The 23rd annual Vintage snowmobile race is on! Saturday March 7th! Start the day with a pancake 🥞 breakfast at the town hall from 7am-9am, then head to the race. Guaranteed to be a good time!

FD Update

On October 16th, Ron, Tyler and Mason went to Saltcoats School to talk about the Fire Deptartment and fire safety. This years theme was “Charge into Safety”. We talked about Lithium batteries and safe ways to operate them to prevent fires. The kids were well engaged and even had a student dress up in the turnout gear with SCBA to feel what it likes to wear it. Thank you Nash for demonstrating.

They also got to go on the fire trucks and see all the tools we use for fire fighting.

Over the past month the FD has responded to 7 calls. 3 MVA’s, 2 Machinery fires, 1 field fire and 1 false alarm.
