Town of Saltcoats

Town of Saltcoats Saltcoats is situated only 27 km from the thriving City of Yorkton and due to the picturesque setting of Anderson Lake has earned the title "The Laketown".

Saltcoats offers residents of the town and RM an ice rink, curling rink, library, community hall, daycare, and a senior’s care home. There is a hotel, restaurant, credit union, liquor outlet, two antique stores, and auto repair. An elementary school from Kindergarten to Grade 8 welcomes children from Saltcoats, Bredenbury and many rural students from the area, as well as a playschool for children 3-4 years old. Our location makes access to all the Yorkton amenities and shopping very convenient.

Reminder to Residents – Sump Pump Discharge

The Town would like to remind residents that, in accordance with Bylaw 02-2014, sump pumps must be discharged to the surface and not connected to the sewer system.

Discharging sump pumps into the sewer can overload the system and may also affect the operation of backflow prevention valves, potentially causing water to back up into your home.

If you are unsure where your sump pump is discharging, please take a moment to check and ensure it is directed to the surface.

Thank you for helping protect our sewer infrastructure and reduce the risk of sewer backups.
