Today, members with the Knights of Columbus St. Michael Parish Bright's Grove, Tim Mondoux (far left) and Frank Van Delft (far right) visited to present a $1,000 donation to support The NEST Marketplace Pantry. There has been a much greater need to stock the pantry shelves with food donations. We are truly grateful to the K of C Council 10102 for their continued support and generosity. Thank You!!

💙 A look at September at The NEST.

Behind every number is a young person finding a meal, clean clothes, personal care supplies, or a safe place to take care of their basic needs.

In September, we served 76 individual youth, with 492 visits to The NEST. From meals to laundry and showers, these everyday supports can make a meaningful difference.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Rebound!
Rebound will be closed Monday, October 12 for Thanksgiving.
We hope everyone has a safe and beautiful weekend, whatever this weekend looks like for you. Take a little time to rest, connect with someone you care about, enjoy the outdoors, or simply do something that makes you smile.
And remember, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. 🍁

A BIG thank you to the members of 100 Women Who Care Sarnia Lambton for their generous donation of $12,300 to support Rebound ACT II Program. We are truly grateful for your support. The funding will make a positive difference in the lives of the young people we serve. 100 Women Who Care Sarnia-Lambton🌟❤👏

Congratulations to Rebound, our successful charity at September's meeting. Our funds will be used for their “Act II program” an expressive arts and community theatre initiative that builds confidence, communication, and social skills for local youth. We look forward to discovering how our dollars impacted this program at our November meeting!

Rebound’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a space for youth (ages 12-24) to help shape Rebound’s programs, services, and events. Whether you’ve participated in a Rebound program before or are just interested in getting involved, YAC is a great opportunity to share your ideas, perspectives, and experiences.

Members play an important role in creating positive change, providing feedback, and helping ensure youth voices are heard in decision-making.

Joining YAC is also a chance to build leadership skills, connect with other young people in the community, and earn volunteer hours while making a meaningful impact

C.A.R.E. 6 week program beginning Tuesday, November 10th
Tuesdays 5pm-7pm at Sarnia-Lambton Rebound (10 Lorne Cres, Sarnia)
The C.A.R.E. (Consent And Relationship Education Program) is designed to empower individuals aged 12-17 to create and maintain healthy, consensual relationships by teaching them the skills they need to communicate effectively, establish boundaries, and identify and avoid unhealthy behaviours.

At our program, youth will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and engage in interactive workshops to develop the tools necessary to navigate relationships in a safe and healthy way.

We believe that everyone deserves to have healthy relationships, and we're committed to providing youth with the knowledge and skills they need to achieve this.

If you know a youth who could benefit from this program, please spread the word and encourage them to get involved.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, Rebound stands with and supports the observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as Survivors, their families and communities.

September 30 is also Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led movement inspired by Phyllis Webstad, a Northern Secwépemc (Shuswap) residential school Survivor. At six years old, Phyllis arrived at residential school wearing a new orange shirt that was taken from her on her first day.

As an organization that works alongside youth, families and community partners across the region, we recognize the importance of building respectful relationships with our neighbouring Indigenous communities and supporting opportunities to learn, listen and move forward together.

Today, we wear orange in remembrance and solidarity, and to affirm the message that Every Child Matters. 🧡

We encourage our Rebound community to take time today to listen, learn and reflect on what truth and reconciliation can look like in our own communities.
