This year at Back to Batoche Days, you can experience the festival in a whole new way - inside Roblox!

Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S), in partnership with Maskwa Games, is launching the new 'Back 2 Batoche Days' Roblox Game, inspired by the real-life festival experience at Batoche.
The interactive game is designed as a digital twin of Back to Batoche Days, allowing players to explore festival spaces, connect with Métis culture and language, and experience Batoche in a new digital format.

You can try the game firsthand at the festival this July 16-19 at the Roblox booth!

June is Indigenous History Month, a time to honour the stories, identity, and lived experiences that shape who we are as Métis people.

In this segment, Elders Darcy Kelly and Jim Belhumeur speak to a reality many Métis families know well. They share the difficult truth of growing up Métis during a time when discrimination was common, when being visibly or openly Métis meant being judged, excluded, or looked down upon. For many, Métis identity was hidden as a way to protect families from harm.

These stories are hard to hear, however, they are essential. They remind us how far our Nation has come, and how much strength it took to get here.
Both Elders speak with honesty and courage about reclaiming their identity, embracing who they are, and choosing pride over silence. Their message is clear: being Métis is something to celebrate.

Our Elders hold the living memory of our Nation, offering the wisdom that helps us heal and grow.

This video is part of a four‑part series we will be sharing throughout June featuring Métis Elders.
As we reflect on our past, we honour the resilience of our people, the truth of our Elders, and the pride we carry as Métis today.

This National Indigenous Peoples Day, we're celebrating culture, community, and connection.
Did you know that one of the traditions of Rock Your Roots is celebrating the birthdays of Residential School Survivors?

Many children who attended residential schools were separated from their families and communities and were unable to celebrate their birthdays. Today, Rock Your Roots honours Survivors with birthday celebrations, cupcakes, and messages of appreciation. What a special way to celebrate and honour their stories.

Join us June 19 for the Rock Your Roots Walk for Reconciliation, followed by reconciliation activities at Victoria Park.

📅 June 19
🕥 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
📍 Victoria Park, Saskatoon

Let's come together to celebrate Indigenous cultures and honour those who helped pave the way.

Did you know the term “Two Spirit” comes from Indigenous communities and carries cultural, spiritual, and community meaning?

Long before colonization, many Indigenous communities recognized and respected people whose identities existed beyond strict gender categories. Two-Spirit people often held important community roles and were valued for their gifts and perspectives. Our identities are not new.

Today, many Two-Spirit Métis people are reclaiming those teachings, creating spaces of connection, and continuing to build community through leadership, creativity, culture, and care. Remember who we always were.

Pride Month is a chance to celebrate and uplift our Two-Spirit, Indigiqueer, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ Métis people, and build communities where everyone feels seen, welcomed, and supported.

“Take PRIDE in living your truth!” ~ Shelley Belhumeur

Each year on June 6, Canada recognizes Blue Jean Jacket Day to honour and remember Missing, Murdered, and Exploited Indigenous Men and Boys.

Wearing a blue jean jacket is a meaningful way to show support, raise awareness, and remember those who are loved and missed.

Today, we stand with families, Survivors, and communities calling for justice and healing.
