Camp Circle O' Friends

Camp Circle O' Friends Saskatchewan's only summer camp program dedicated to children affected by cancer With fun. With hope!

We believe summer camp is a right of passage for all kids, but that it can also bea powerful healing experience for those who have been affected by Cancer in childhood. Whether they've lost loved ones, or are sick themselves, Camp Circle O' Friends is about letting kids be kids, to let them know life can go on. The camp offers state-of-the-art medical facilities, as well as a the full range of ind

oor and outdoor camp activities, including water sports and a horse program. A team of volunteer medical staff offers the reassurance that the professional help of doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers are on hand 24-hours a day, to offer first aid or a shoulder to cry on. Campers from all over Saskatchewan aged 6 to 18 in a session come to CCOF to make friends and offer each other support. The camp has helped thousands of families experience some form of normalcy during and beyond Cancer. And the program keeps going strong, thanks to the generosity and support of volunteers and community groups.

CAMP CLOSURE 2025

Today we disembarked from our world cruise. We gathered to watch a slide show of photos that captured every moment of camp then departed for home on chartered buses.

We hosted 42 campers on a voyage of fun, laughter, and learning. From Customs and Immigration to excursions at every port, this cruise was smooth sailing.

Thank you parents for sharing your children with us, for trusting us with your most precious cargo. Our goal was to lock out the outside world and focus on fun things. You would be proud of your children. They were brave when the visited Hopes Ropes, they persevered through a rainy day with a smile and enthusasim, they embraced new country adventures, they performed in front of the entire camp on Variety Night, and found friendship, love, and support. We HOPE that we sent them home with a bit more confidence, a story to tell, and some new friends looking forward to Camp 2026!

To the volunteers, what an increditable job you did these four days! From cabin leaders to recreation leaders, you plugged every hole in the ship. You came to play and it showed! Campers jelled because you found a common interst, they laughed because you told lame jokes, and they shared because they trusted you. You made a difference in every camper’s life. They now have great memories to fuel their fight. They have that because of YOU!

To the medical team: we couldn’t do this with out you! This year we hosted more oncology clinic staff than ever before! Thank you for seeing what we do and how we do it.

This camp wouldn’t be possible without the donors. Thanks to the Canadian Progess Club Regina Centre for the financial support, our beautiful inclusive beach chair, and cooking an endlessess number of burgers in the rain! They may be small but they are a mighty crew of generous business men with big hearts. All our sponsors and donors help to remove every barrier to paricipate and the families are grateful.

Thanks to all who helped, donated, said yes, and showed up! You helped make Camp 2025 the BEST CAMP EVER!

Day 3 - CCOF World Cruise

The day started in Fiji with record number of brave souls willingly taking part in our polar bear swim. Topped off with a much needed hot chocolate … before breakfast!

Today we visited France where we painted, made bracelets, and learned how to say hello and thank you in French. Mexico (petting zoo) was a popular destination today - visited often by many. Rumour has it that one of the puppies may find a new home with a couple of volunteers!

The rain didn’t dampen our enthusiasm or fun. The Canadian Progress Club Regina Centre came to bbq lunch for our crew and brought our dream chair - a wheel chair that is beach approved allowing for inclusion of all campers! That was not all they did … they gave us a cheque for $34,000!!!! That’s an incredible amount of money for a small club that works so hard! We were both grateful and humbled! Thanks for making another dream come to fruition❤️

It was a privilege to have our camp doc and his family visit for day - he even brought a resident along to share the experience… so rest assured our medical team is top notch and familiar with many of the campers. How lucky to have such engagement from the entire oncology team! 🥰

After visiting Italy for supper, the evening was filled with pure talent at Variety Night. Every camper was a star and we even had an RCMP Musical Ride at the event (inflatable horses!) The Med Shed shone brightly with their rendition of camp and hope.

As our last night came to a close the campers with snacks in hand returned to their cabins to dry out, warm up, and reflect on the ports visited today.

We are “willing” the rain away so our final day is filled with sunshine! 🤞
