The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan (EFSK) is a non-profit organization serving women and gender-diverse adults who are criminalized or at risk of criminalization. We tear down barriers to justice and equity through advocacy, cultural teachings, and practical support. EFSK is a leading advocate, a trusted partner, and a reliable provider of fully integrated wraparound supports for our commun
ity. We contribute to a flourishing community by addressing barriers caused by criminalization, housing insecurity, and colonialism. We dream of a world where imprisonment is a thing of the past, all voices are heard, and all people have the community, resources, and safety they need to flourish. Our services include diversion programs such as housing and addictions programming, advocacy, and reintegration support. We target systemic barriers arising from factors like racism, poverty, addiction, mental health, abuse, and incarceration. Incorporated in 1981, EFSK provides housing services, addiction services, court services, reintegration support, and cultural programming as part of our commitment to making a positive impact for community. We are committed to leading with compassion and understanding, embracing diversity and upholding individual strengths. Our community supports self-advocacy and empowerment, addressing systemic injustices and tailoring assistance to diverse needs. We prioritize trust and relationship-building, integrating Indigenous and Western knowledge for a holistic perspective.
