ential. United Way is focusing on three of the priority community issues and their respective outcomes as identified in the SSM Poverty Reduction Strategic Action Plan. Our focus areas are Food Security, Workforce Entry and Essential Services; without these pillars a person will struggle in poverty to build a life for themselves and their family.

We officially have all of our backpacks stuffed and ready to go! 🎒✏️📚

Today, the Sammy's Backpacks team joined us to help stuff the final bags, and we are so excited to have everything ready for the school year ahead!

This year, United Way and Sammy’s Backpacks joined forces to bring our two initiatives together and help support even more local students across our community. ❤️

The backpacks will now be provided to participating local school board partners, who will coordinate distribution to students within their schools.

Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing our final numbers shortly and just how many backpacks are heading out into our community this year! 🎒
