The City Planning Division has released draft policies for the Official Plan. The first open house will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at the John Rhodes Centre. Drop in anytime between 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

An Official Plan guides decision making on land use, development and public infrastructure.

The draft strategy for the James Street neighbourhood includes numerous recommendations for improvements to Anna Marinelli Park and the James Street pedestrian mall, better pedestrian and cyclist crossings on Carmen's Way between Queen and Cathcart streets, and ways to make the James Street neighbourhood a more attractive and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
