Since 1999, the Sault Ste. Marie Safe Communities Partnership has aligned with local businesses, social service organizations, and various government agencies, as well as the general public to enhance and develop injury prevention programs and safety initiatives. Comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors and operating as a not-for-profit, we are the umbrella organization for all injury preventio

n in our community with a mission of making the city of Sault Ste. Marie and area the safest place in the world in which to live, learn, work, and play. We coordinate with our partners to host events, workshops and conferences to enhance community safety. Together, we can make safety and injury prevention a part of the culture of Sault Ste.

The Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are pleased to announce the third year of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma district operation all dressed up 2016. This program assists grade 8 and grade 12 girls prepare for upcoming graduation ceremonies.

It is scheduled for Sunday April 10, 2016 from 10am to 5pm at Algoma's Water Tower Inn. Students must call ahead and book an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome after 3:00pm.

Local drop off points for donated items include the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services building at 580 Second Line East or the OPP Sault Ste. Marie detachment at 742 Great Northern Road.
