The Naskapi Nation is hiring a Gas Bar Attendant.

This is a temporary full time replacement position with the Department of Public Works. If you like working with people and want steady work close to home, this one is worth a look.

⛽ Serve fuel, ring up customers, keep the Gas Bar running safely
🗓️ 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
💬 Ability to speak Naskapi, and to read, write, and speak English
💰 Salary per the DPW Salary Scale

Our graduates walked in behind our flag, carried by Chief Louise Nattawappio.

Today, our young people from Kawawachikamach were honoured at GRANDIS, the annual gathering that Institut Tshakapesh holds to celebrate a new class of Innu and Naskapi secondary graduates. This was the 18th year, held at the Salle Teueikan in Mani-utenam.

Our graduates, class of 2025-2026, entered accompanied by our community's representatives, alongside graduates from the Innu communities of the Côte-Nord.

To every one of you: we are proud of you. You have worked for this, and you carried our community's name onto that stage. Whatever you do next, you go forward with all of us behind you. Congratulations.

Our land needs people to watch over it.

The Naskapi Nation is hiring two Land Guardians to help occupy, monitor, and care for our traditional territory, Nuchimiyuschiiy.

This is land-based work. Patrolling the territory, monitoring wildlife and water and weather, helping protect our culturally significant sites, and being our Nation's presence out on the land. It also means learning from our Elders and passing that knowledge on.

🎬 Calling all Naskapi youth with a passion for film and storytelling!

The Naskapi Nation is looking for one motivated young person to work alongside a Wapikoni Mobile film director from August 3 to 7.

You will help document the Naskapi Youth Summer Camp, with a special focus on the historical Naskapi artifacts on loan from the Royal Ontario Museum. Throughout the week, youth, elders, and artisans will come together to share stories, traditional knowledge, and hands-on cultural activities inspired by those artifacts. You will be there to capture it all.

This is a full-time commitment for the week. You must be available all day, every day from Monday to Friday.

The Naskapi Nation is hiring an Elders Coordinator, a permanent position at the Wellness Center.

This is the person who keeps the Elders' bus running on schedule, helps put together the gatherings and the yearly Pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne, and is someone our Elders can count on.

💬 Must speak Naskapi fluently
🎓 Minimum Secondary V, post-secondary an asset
