Rainbow Falls Provincial Park Rainbow Falls is classified as a
recreation class park.

Located on the North Shore of Lake Superior, Rainbow Falls Provincial Park is home to two beautiful and unique campgrounds, the cascading waters of the Rainbow Falls, and is nestled along the 52km Casque Isles Hiking Trail🥾🌊🏕️ Rainbow Falls Provincial Park is located on the north shore of Lake Superior, approximately 200 kilometres east of Thunder Bay, between the village of Rossport and Terrace B

The park offers visitors the experience of Lake Superior and the alternative of a warmer inland lake to pursue opportunities for hiking, scenic viewing and nature interpretation, as well as camping, picnicking, boating and swimming. The key features of the park include a series of zigzag cascades, scenic views of Lake Superior and beaches.

Are you looking for the perfect sunset spot while staying at the Rainbow Falls Whitesand Campground? 🌅
The Superior Trail gives visitors perfect views over Lake Superior and the rolling hills that surround the lake. The Superior Trail is 1.1 km in length and climbs up onto a beautiful rocky viewpoint.
Difficulty: Moderate with difficult sections.

🏕 Favourite thing about working at Rainbow Falls and in the North Shore Cluster: Working with the best staff and learning so many new things everyday.

🚿 Favourite area to clean: The comfort stations/showers

The daily operations of the park would not run smoothly without Jasmine! We appreciate her hard work, determination and the big smile she shows up with each and every day!

Welcome back to here at Rainbow Falls! This week we're introducing 2 of our maintenance students, Carson (left) and Brady (right)! 🛠

Let's get to know a little bit about Carson and Brady:

🌊 Favourite thing to do along the North Shore: • Carson: Hiking • Brady: Fishing and Hiking
🌈 Favourite thing about Rainbow Falls PP: • Carson: The community within the park • Brady: The Falls of course
🌻 If you could be a plant or animal at Rainbow Falls what would you be? • Carson: Lynx 🐾 • Brady: Beaver🦫
🏕 Favourite thing about working at Rainbow Falls and in the North Shore Cluster? • Carson: I like how the park is quite small, while still having so many cool features. • Brady: I like the environment within the park. The geography and different kinds of trees is really cool.

We always appreciate the hard work that these 2 put into the park and wish them many more sunny breaktime relaxation sessions!

Reminder to all pet parents:
• Always keep dogs on a leash no longer than 2 metres (6 feet) in length, unless in a designated off-leash area
• Do not allow dogs to damage or disturb park vegetation and wildlife
• Do not leave dogs unattended or allow them to make excessive noise
• Pick up after your dog’s waste
• Dogs are not permitted in the following areas:
‣ beaches and swimming areas (unless a designated dog beach)
‣ comfort stations
‣ all areas posted prohibiting domestic animals (service animals excluded)

🌲 Years in parks: 8 years!
⛺ Other Provincial Parks you've worked at: Kakabeka Falls and Quetico.
🌊 Favourite thing to do along the North Shore: Definitely hiking with my dog.🐾
🌈 Favourite part of Rainbow Falls PP: The Back 40 Lookout Trail.
🌷 If you could be a plant or animal at Rainbow Falls what would you be? I would want to be a Dragonfly or a Turtle.
🌍 Favourite thing about working at Rainbow Falls and in the North Shore Cluster? Getting to work with the best staff, while also seeing campers from across the globe make amazing memories!

We’re back! We are excited to welcome visitors back to Rainbow Falls Provincial Park for camping and day use. Both the Whitesand Lake campground and Rossport campground with be officially open for the season tomorrow, Friday, May 15th.

🏠Whitesand Lake Gatehouse Hours:
Monday: 9:15AM - 4PM
Tuesday: 9:15AM - 4PM
Wednesday: 11:15AM - 6PM
Thursday: 11:15AM - 6PM
Friday: 8:15AM - 6PM
Saturday: 8:15AM - 6PM
Sunday: 8:15AM - 6PM

🏠Rossport gatehouse Hours:
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday: CLOSED
Thursday: CLOSED
Friday: 11:15AM - 6PM
Saturday: 11:15AM - 6PM
Sunday: 11:15AM - 6PM
*When Rossport gate is closed, please see Whitesand Lake Gatehouse for check-in*

🛶Rentals will be available June 15th

🌲Please be mindful and aware that as the spring temperatures continue to warm up at Rainbow Falls, some campsites and trails may be muddy, snowy and/or slippery.

💧Please be aware that boil water advisories may be in effect when arriving at Rainbow Falls.
