So thankful for the volunteer crew at Schumacher.

We are incredibly grateful for two amazing members of our school community

Betty Ann Horbul can always be counted on to support our students with weekly reading in our Grade 1–2 classroom. Her consistency, patience, and genuine care help foster a love of reading and build confidence in our young learners. The relationships she builds with students are truly meaningful and lasting. Beyond the classroom, Betty Ann also gives her time to the broader community through her support of the food bank and other local initiatives.

Kathy Loreto is a cornerstone of our school’s special monthly nutrition breakfast. Whether it’s arriving early to prepare meals, organizing groceries, cooking special lunches, or ensuring everything is cleaned up and ready for the next day, Kathy does it all with heart and dedication. Her efforts help ensure our students are nourished, cared for, and ready to learn.

Volunteers like Betty Ann and Kathy are the quiet champions of our school community. We rely on them, we appreciate them deeply, and we are so thankful for the time, energy, and kindness they give so selflessly.

Thank you for making Schumacher Public School a stronger, kinder, and more connected place for everyone.

Today we celebrate and recognize the incredible strengths, perspectives, and uniqueness of students with autism. 💙

Every child brings something special to our school community, and it is our shared responsibility to create spaces where all learners feel understood, supported, and valued. Autism is something to understand, respect, and celebrate.

Let’s continue to build a community rooted in kindness, inclusion, and acceptance—today and every day. 💙
