📣 Summer Music Series Closing Night this Saturday!
🕛 7PM free live music in Hackett Park with Kiki & The Apostles

Kiki Connelly sings with the voice of an angel and the soul of a back-alley prophet. When she takes the mic, the air crackles with revelation. And when The Apostles lay down the groove—a raw fusion of Sunday-morning gospel, Saturday-night soul, and sweat-soaked R&B—the floorboards shake and the spirit moves.

They don't just perform; they testify. Every chord is a prayer, every beat a heartbeat, and Kiki’s soaring vocals are the light breaking through. It’s soulful. It’s high-voltage. It’s a revival where the only commandment is to feel it deep in your bones.

Come for the music. Stay for the salvation.

Kiki & The Apostles. Raise the roof, and your soul, every time.

Did you know that we welcome delegations from various groups to present at the beginning of Regular Council Meetings? These delegations are great ways to advocate and educate.

Procedurally, members of Council can ask questions throughout the meeting and we invite members of the public to a question period at the very end of the council meeting, not after a delegation or throughout the meeting.

We welcome your questions about any of this and we'd love to hear from you if you have a delegation too! Send us an email to [email protected]

Howe Sound Mill Closure - Statement from Mayor and Council

Mayor and Council are disappointed by the announcement that the Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Mill and Bayview Fibre facility in Port Mellon will be indefinitely idled, affecting approximately 400 employees and their families. This decision will have significant impacts across the Sunshine Coast.

Our thoughts are with the workers, families, businesses, and communities affected by this news. For generations, the mill has played an important role in our region's economy and identity.

While the challenges facing the forestry sector extend beyond our community, the effects of this closure will be felt locally and deeply.

The District of Sechelt will continue to work with regional partners, shíshálh Nation, local governments, industry, and senior levels of government to advocate for support for affected workers and families and to strengthen the long-term resilience of our regional economy.

The Sunshine Coast is a strong and connected community. We know residents will come together to support one another during this difficult time.
