🚧 Road Work Notice

This afternoon, a Flagstaff County crew is applying a gravel stabilization product to the following roads:

• Rge Rd 164, from Twp Rd 442 north to Hwy 13
• Rge Rd 170, from Twp Rd 442 north to Hwy 13

Motorists are asked to use caution in these areas, slow down around crews and equipment, and follow all posted signage.

🚧 Road Work Notice

A Flagstaff County crew is completing road recovery work on Twp Rd 460, from Rge Rd 170 east for three miles to Sec Hwy 855, north of Daysland.

Work is expected to take approximately six days, weather dependent.

Motorists travelling through the area should expect short delays while work is underway. Please slow down, watch for equipment and use caution in the work zone.

📢 Request for Proposals: Abatement and Building Demolition

Flagstaff County is inviting qualified contractors to submit proposals for the abatement and demolition of two County-owned buildings in the Hamlet of Strome:

📍 5012 – 50th Street – former fibreglass manufacturing business
📍 5200-08 – 50th Avenue – former Seed Cleaning Plant

The work includes comprehensive hazardous materials abatement, demolition, disposal and site preparation in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

⚠️ Mandatory Site Visit:
📅 September 8, 2026
⏰ 11:00 a.m.
📍 5012 – 50th Street, Strome
Attendance is required to be eligible to submit a proposal.

❓ Question Deadline: September 10 at 4:00 p.m. MDT

Meet the Toaster Coaster™ | Kitchen Counter Protection, a simple kitchen solution designed to help keep crumbs contained and countertops cleaner.

Created by Katy and her husband, Brett, the Toaster Coaster is now available at the Flagstaff Crafted Marketplace inside Wild Rose Co-op in Killam, in both black and white.

Katy and Brett Freadrich have strong connections to the Flagstaff Region, as they were both born and raised here. We also have to give a special shoutout to their adorable daughter, Addison, who joined in on the fun and made an appearance in our video. 💚

For Katy, entrepreneurship is also about finding that balance between being a mom and a creator, turning an idea into a product while managing everything that comes with family life.
