🍿 One thing everyone seems to remember about The Garry Theatre? The popcorn.

Well, we've got a brand-new popcorn machine (a popper?) and we're getting ready to serve up fresh, delicious batches when the Garry takes the stage for its Second Act.

And yes... that's coming really soon. πŸ‘€

🚌 Back-to-School Safety Tip #2 🚸

With school almost back in session, you'll likely see school buses during your morning and afternoon commutes.

When you see one, it's really important to slow down and be cautious. If its lights are flashing like in this video, stop and NEVER pass the bus from either side. Children may be crossing the street or getting on or off the bus.

Wait until the bus turns off its flashing lights and begins moving before you continue your drive.

Here’s how each fund makes a lasting impact in our community:

🎬 Garry Theatre Endowment Fund β€” helping Selkirk's favourite theatre take the stage for its Second Act
πŸƒ Parks Endowment Fund β€” keeping our parks beautiful for years to come
πŸ’ Recreation Endowment Fund β€” helping maintain recreation equipment and facilities

Tonight, we're lighting the Water Tower teal for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Awareness Day.

PKD is one of the most common inherited kidney diseases, causing cysts to grow on the kidneys and often leading to a gradual loss of kidney function. While there is currently no cure, increased awareness and research are helping improve outcomes for those affected.
