Thank you to everyone that supported the Firesmart cleanup at Access 8 in the Bravo neighborhood yesterday. We hauled 6 trailer loads of debris away to the Eco Depot. Also we would like to thank Danny Funk from the TNRD for helping out and supplying the food as well as BBQing the burgers and hotdogs. It was a great success.

Due to high seasonal temperatures, continued drought conditions, and resource limitations, as of May 3rd, 2025 at 12pm (noon), the District of Barriere will be imposing a Fire Ban on all Category 2 and 3 fires within the District of Barriere.

This means you can still have campfires no larger than 0.5m x 0.5m in size.

For any burning, you are required to monitor (and remain at) your fire and have hand tools or water available to quickly action a fire mishap. Any unattended fire or fire found to be in non-compliance of By-Law 55 will be subject to fines.

This notice only affects the District of Barriere and not the TNRD area.

Thank you for doing your part in being FireSmart and helping to keep our community safe.
