Next Wednesday, August 26, 2026, is our Summer Wrap-up Party!

Meet us at Heritage Park from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for games, stories, songs, and more to celebrate the end of a summer of reading and fun.

Hot dogs and snacks will be provided.

Kids 6 and under must be supervised by an adult.

Registration is not required, but we are asking friends who plan to attend to sign up at the link below so we can be sure to bring enough fun for everyone.

Only two more weeks to bring in your entries for the 1000 Page Summer Reading Contest!

We've already had some eager young readers collect their weekly TD Summer Reading Club prizes but did you know we have an "Adult" Summer Reading Contest going on too?

Adults and teens can pick up an entry slip, track pages read, and enter in the library for a chance to win a prize at the end of summer.

You get one entry for every 1000 pages!

All pages must be read between July 1 and August 31, 2026

Week 6 (August 19 & 20, 2026) is our last week of Kids' Summer Programming!

Today (Wednesday), we will make two crafts to help us spot and identify clouds in the sky.

On Thursday, we will take advantage of the beautiful weather to enjoy the Sexsmith Splash Park.

All summer programming meets at the library from 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Kids 6 and under require direct adult supervision.

Week 6 (August 12 & 13, 2026) is all about forts and lasers.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), we will assemble and decorate cardboard forts to set up bases and obstacles in the Sexsmith Civic Centre.

On Thursday, we will use the forts to defend against enemies in a fun and active game of laser tag!

Thanks to our lovely rainy days this summer, the park behind the library is wet, wet, wet.

As such, we will be having Story Time in the Park INSIDE today.
