🍂Planning a visit to Sharbot Lake Provincial Park this fall? 🍁

Here are a few commonly asked questions:

Q: When does camping close for the season?
A: Camping ends October 12th.

Q: What time can I arrive at the park for my reservation?
A: You’re welcome to explore the park!
You could: 🏊 go for a swim, 🌲 hike a trail, 🚶 go for a walk.
Remember, campers have until 2 pm to check out.
Please be considerate and give them space while they pack up!

Q: Can I use fallen logs/branches around the park for my campfire?
A: No, harvesting wood from a provincial park is prohibited.

Q: Is Day Use still open, and do I need a Daily Vehicle Permit?
A: Day use is still open, and a Daily Vehicle Permit is still required to access the park. You can purchase one online through our reservation website or at the gatehouse during operating hours.

Q: Do I still need to register if I am a seasonal permit holder?
A: Yes, seasonal permit holders do need to register their vehicle licence plate. This can be done online through the reservation website; after you enter your permit serial number, the day pass fee will be set to $0. Or at our gate house during operating hours.

What do I do if I arrive at the park after the office has closed? 🤔

🍃 During the fall season, we will have reduced office hours, but it is okay if you arrive after hours! Below are some tips to help if you end up in this situation.

🍂 Pre-register your site before arriving at the park! Add the names of everyone staying on the site and the vehicle license plate. You can also self-check in through an email sent to you on the day of your arrival.

🍃 Remember your campsite number! We post a late arrivals list that includes the site numbers outside the park office, but it is good to come prepared.

🍂 If you do arrive after the gate is closed and wish to camp, there will be a list of available sites for one night posted at the gatehouse. You can book online through the reservation website or come up to the gatehouse in the morning to register for your night.

🍃 Park maps are available in a small, clear box on the front of the building next to the door or at the kiosk by the canoe shed.

The Park Office fall hours starting September 7th are:
Monday – Thursday: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Friday: 9:00am to 8:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am to 6:00pm

All living things leave signs of their presence on the land, and it takes a keen observer to notice and interpret them. Join us in discovering some of our smallest kin: insects and their relatives. Record and celebrate your discoveries in the nature journal provided. All ages are welcome.
