🚨 SPECIAL METAL PICKUP — METAL ONLY! 🚨

We are seeing wood and other non-metal items being placed curbside with metal for this week’s special collection.

⚠️ WOOD WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.
This special pickup is for METAL ONLY.

If you have placed wood, lumber, or other wood products at the curb with your metal, please remove them. Collection crews will leave these items behind.

🪵 Where does wood go?
Wood products can be properly disposed of at the C&D site in West Green Harbour:

📅 Wednesday to Saturday
⏰ 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

🛋️ WHAT ABOUT BULKY ITEMS?

Box springs, mattresses, sofas, love seats, and fabric-covered chairs are considered bulky waste and can be placed curbside as part of your regular collection.

Other non-metal items are NOT accepted as part of the special metal collection.

❓ Not sure if your item will be collected?

Save yourself the time and effort; call the Waste Diversion Officer BEFORE putting it at the curb.

We would much rather answer your question beforehand than have you take the time to move something curbside, only to have it not collected and then have to remove it from the curb again.

✅ Metal pickup = METAL ONLY
🪵 Wood = C&D site
🛋️ Approved bulky waste = regular curbside pick up

When in doubt, please ask before putting it out!

Thank you for helping keep our collection system running smoothly and ensuring waste is disposed of properly.
