🏡 The Breakfast Outfitter
The owner of The Breakfast Outfitter appeared before Council to discuss matters related to their Hammond Street property.
📬 Correspondence
🚸 School Zone Traffic Safety
✔️ Council directed staff to review traffic conditions near Hillcrest Academy and report back.
🚔 Radar Speed Cameras
✔️ Council directed staff to write to the Minister of Public Works requesting that Shelburne County be considered as the first rural municipality to pilot radar speed cameras.
📄Council received for information a copy of the joint advocacy letter from the Mayor of Shelburne, Mayor of Lockeport, and the Warden of the Municipality of the District of Shelburne regarding the new Roseway Manor build.

💰 General & Shelburne Marine Terminal Write-Offs
✔️ Council approved the recommended General and Shelburne Marine Terminal account write-offs.
🏞️ CAO Update
CAO Sarah Mattatall provided updates on several ongoing projects, including:
🌳 The Town is pursuing additional funding to complement the Huskilson family's generous donation and support the Graham's Park Expansion Project.
♻️ The Build Community Strong Fund (BCSF) application for Phase 2 of the Landfill Decommissioning Project has been submitted, and staff continue to investigate additional funding opportunities to support the landfill capping project.
🏟️ The Roger Grovestine Recreation Centre continues to see excellent community use of the pickleball/tennis courts and baseball field.
👏 The CAO thanked Town staff for their hard work and commitment during an already busy year, especially throughout the active summer season.

Council met in-camera to discuss matters permitted under the Municipal Government Act (MGA).

✔️ Council directed staff to continue working with the Traffic Authority to review options related to the Hammond and Thomas Street intersection.
🗣️ Council Updates
Councillor D. Acker
👮 Advised that the July RCMP Advisory Board meeting was cancelled, with the next meeting scheduled for October.
🎉 Thanked the Events Committee for organizing another successful Dock Street Days and Car Show.
Councillor Cruz
🏛️ Attended the State of the Province event in Yarmouth and spoke with Premier Tim Houston regarding the Roseway Manor rebuild. She shared concerns about ongoing delays and requested an update on the project timeline.
Mayor Jacklin
👏 Thanked the volunteers, vendors, and everyone who attended Dock Street Days, noting another successful community event with an excellent turnout for both Dock Street Days and the Car Show.
🚨 Also attended the REMO meeting and shared that the REMO office will be relocating to the Municipality of the District of Shelburne building.
