Many people have asked about the decision to close the Sherwood Park Water Station. This decision was made in 2024 as it was the best option presented to us at that time. It allows us the best service level as well as the lowest cost for residents for bulk water. Any other decision would increase bulk water costs by 66%.
This decision was made after lengthy debate, and also includes building a residential waterfill station in the Colchester area.
We will be meeting with bulk water users and suppliers in November to discuss this further as there may be other options to discuss.
