Calling Strathcona County authors! *September 13* is the deadline to submit your application to be the 2027 Metro Region Writer in Residence.
You'll support fellow writers and grow your own body of creative work over a one-year residency with the Metro Edmonton Federation of Libraries: Edmonton Public Library, Strathcona County Library & St. Albert Public Library.
This unique full-time opportunity will connect you with communities across the metro Edmonton region, through workshops, mentorship, and programming.
Two positions are available!

Part of Dolly Parton's extraordinary legacy is the Imagination Library, launched in 1995 and dedicated to gifting books to children, from birth to five years. In 2006, Canada became Imagination Library's first international partner and today, over 60,000 books arrive in mailboxes across Canada each month, in every province and territory.
It's hard to find the right words to honour the amazing Dolly Parton, but today we celebrate someone who had the foresight to understand that her generosity will have a positive impact on literacy for generations to come. Thank you -- so very much.
