🌎 Eyes in the Sky, Boots Still on the Ground!

Vertex’s Eduardo Loos will be speaking at the 2026 ESCA BC Annual Conference: Collaboration and Innovation, hosted by the Erosion and Sediment Control Association of British Columbia.

Eduardo will explore how satellite remote sensing can support erosion and sediment control by identifying vegetation recovery, exposed soil, and potential erosion risks, helping practitioners make informed decisions and prioritize field inspections.

By combining innovative technology with boots on the ground, we can strengthen collaboration and improve environmental monitoring.

Connecting Communities. Building Opportunities.

Vertex is proud to be represented at the 4th Annual Anishinabek Nation Economic Development Opportunities (ANEDO) Forum, taking place October 20–22 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the traditional territory of Fort William First Nation.

This year’s theme, “Unlocking Our Potential: Infrastructure, Investment & Innovation,” brings together First Nations leadership, industry professionals, and government representatives to explore opportunities for economic growth, collaboration, and sustainable development.

Mark McKee, General Manager of the Aamjiwnaang Vertex Joint Venture, will be speaking at the forum. With more than 25 years of experience in surface rights, consultation, negotiation, and infrastructure project management, Mark brings valuable insight into building partnerships and advancing projects across Canada.

We’re proud to sponsor the 2026 Autumn Leaves Charitable Golf Tournament, which raised an incredible $117,000 for the Lloydminster community.

This year, $58,500 was donated to both Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services and the Spark Foundation of Lloydminster. Since its inception, the tournament has raised nearly $1.25 million for local organizations.
