RESPIRATORY PROTECTION BUILT FOR THE FIRELINE

The GVS Elipse P100 Respirator with Flame Resistant Shield combines P100 particulate respiratory protection with a lightweight protective shield developed specifically for wildland firefighting environments.

The shield uses a Nomex® and Kevlar® fabric construction designed to resist ignition, maintain structural integrity without melting or dripping, and provide heat resistance up to 260°C / 500°F when used with the Elipse system as designed. F-500 EA® was tested at the Fire Insurers Laboratories of Korea (FILK) in an electric vehicle fire suppression test involving a Hyundai Kona Electric with a 64 kWh battery.

The vehicle fire was extinguished in 8 minutes and 30 seconds, and F-500 EA® achieved FILK certification.
